Opportunity to join as an Assistant Production Supervisor Process & Utilities for the first Deepwater Sour Gas development in Sarawak, the Rosmari and Marjoram Onshore Gas Plant (OGP) to deliver Safe production of hydrocarbon within Operating Envelope, business targets, and regulatory compliances, including: -

  • Manage processes for high H2S acid gas removal, stabilization, sulphur recovery/palletization, and MEG system for export of sweet gas and sulphur to customers
  • Manage utilities systems including steam system, boilers, service water, instrument airs, nitrogen, and other utilities system for R&M OGP

Skills and Requirements:

Minimum

  • 7 years of oil and gas experiences in Frontline Operations & Maintenance or Production Engineering for Sour Gas Plant or Integrated Refinery/Petrochemical plant
  • Good leadership, analytical, planning, communication/writing and problem-solving skills
  • A Diploma/Degree in any Engineering disciplines, preferably registered as Steam Boiler Engineer/Operator Grade 1/2 or Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Engineers/Drivers

Preferred

  • BTEC Level 4 minimum entry (Professional Diploma in O&G Facility Management)
  • Internal transfer with MME (Management of Major Emergency); OSC (On Scene Commander).
  • Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) or/and Amine Treating Experiences

Dimensions:

The incumbent will be based in the current working/base location at the early stage of the project and will progressively be relocated to Bintulu R&M OGP Office to support the Commissioning, Start Up, and Operations of OGP.

  • Staff Numbers: Direct reports – 0, Indirect reports – 9, Contractors – 10
  • The incumbent will work on 12 hours shift cycle typically 4 or 8 consecutive day or night shifts, followed by 4 or 8 consecutive days off rotation cycle, subjected to requirements
  • R&M OGP produces 800 MMscf/d of Gas and 17kboe/d of NGL with high Annual Operating Expenditure (OPEX). Gas production is expected to start in 2026 and will be piped to the neighboring Malaysia Liquified Natural Gas (MLNG) complex. R&M fields are situated approximately 220km off the coast of Bintulu. The project comprises a remotely operated offshore platform and onshore gas plant, with infrastructure that includes one of the longest sour wet gas offshore pipelines in the world stretching more than 200km. R&M will be mainly powered by renewable energy; utilizing solar power offshore and hydroelectric power onshore.

Accountabilities:

  • Leads, develops, and aligns Team/Contractors to achieve company business principles, vision, and mission.
  • Support the response for the Major Emergency Response
  • Complies with the law, standards, and procedures. Intervene in unsafe or non-compliant situations with respect. These includes, but not limited to:- Safety, Environment and Asset Management(SEAM) standard, Process Safety Fundamentals, Our Life-Saving Rules, HSSE & SP Policy and Commitment, and Goal Zero – No Harm/No Leak
  • Maintains a competent and certified team with focus on enhancing individual competencies per Competence Development, Assurance and Planning (CDAP) processes – part of SEAM Standard
  • Establishes a strong support network with maintenance, project, HSSE and facility improvement teams: - to ensure integrated, effective approach to identify challenges, assess improvement opportunities, formulate solutions and influence through execution rightfully
  • Delivers effective cost operations against OPEX targets while continuously drives lean improvement initiatives.
  • Executes other accountabilities which may be included as and when required to ensure successful ORA processes and OPERATE phase of R&M OGP.
