About Our Client

Our client is a global professional services business headquartered in the UK and has been in operations for close to 50 years. They are present in over 30 countries and have been in Malaysia for close to 15 years. The group is publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange and it is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.As the business increases its footprint in APAC, they have recently set up their regional hub here in KL to support 12 markets, including China, Japan, Australia and SEA countries. With this business decision, we are currently partnering exclusively with our client to recruit for a number of key positions within the marketing function.

Job Description

This role sits on the business' global digital leadership team that supports delivery of the future direction for digital within the business, as well as the APAC Marketing Leadership team. The role will have overall responsibility for regional execution of the global digital strategy including:

  • Media buying and day-to-day management of media budgets, including optimisation for maximum return
  • Regional representation as part of Global digital strategy development
  • Performance reporting and analysis to improve future campaign profitability/growth and contributing towards yearly marketing budgets and KPIs
  • Management and execution of PPC, retargeting and SEO strategy using agency resource
  • Maximise digital engagement via website content and customer journeys in close collaboration with regional content and CRM functions
  • Regional delivery of digital marketing campaigns and landing page content
  • Overall responsibility for regional testing and execution of new digital features on the websites
  • Line management of direct reports
  • Represent the APAC digital programme towards regional stakeholders
  • Member of Global Digital Leadership team
  • Member of APAC Channel Marketing Leadership team.
  • Being open to working outside of usual working hours to accommodate different time zones and ensure timely responses to regional or global requests


The Successful Applicant

The Head of Digital is a data-driven, delivery-focused team leader with a track record in digital programme execution. The role requires strong collaboration and the ability to balance local, regional and global priorities to deliver measurable impact. Other requirements include:

  • More than 10 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Fluency in English and an additional language is a plus (Mandarin)
  • Ideally previous experience in Shared Services, and collaborating with global and local teams remotely.
  • Proven track record in delivery of successful digital strategy.
  • Displays knowledge understanding of digital platforms and how they are best used in both B2B and B2C marketing
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent project management capabilities to stay on top of detail, deliverables and anticipate and propose solutions to potential roadblocks to keep activities on track.
  • Excellent understanding of digital analytics
  • Strong understanding of and successful implementation in paid, earned and owned media strategies.
  • Good understanding of user experience and design thinking principles
  • Proven ability to communicate complex information and gain buy-in for new ideas.
  • Experience working in an international multi-brand company with multiple stakeholders is advantageous.
  • Proven people leader and able to develop and manage a digital team.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder management experience
