- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production team, ensuring adherence to production schedule;
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and high output while maintaining product quality;
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all production activities;
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards before they are released from the production line;
- Implement and monitor quality control processes to maintain high product standards;
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Department to resolve any issues related to product quality;
- Continuously evaluate production processes and identify areas for improvement;
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to increase efficiency and reduce waste;
- Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance;
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring adequate supply for uninterrupted production;
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials;
- Manage the disposal of waste and defective products in accordance with company policies;
- Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment;
- Conduct regular safety audits and take corrective actions as needed;
- Promote a strong safety culture among the production team;
- Lead, mentor and motivate production staff to achieve individual and team goals;
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members;
- Identify training needs and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge;
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes.
- In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations.
