OFFICER, RESOURCE MOBILISATION & RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT (FUNDRAISING) (HOPE BORNEO)

KNOWLDEGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

1. Responsible for developing MAF fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies to deliver significant

growth in supporter base, income generation and brand position.

2. An understanding and passion for the HIV and AIDS cause.

3. An understanding of the NGO sector and how it differs from other profession.

4. Administration and Project Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, finance and budgeting and coordination of people and resources.

5. Creative flair and track record for innovation.

6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiatives, multi-task, be a team player, flexible, adapt to shifting priorities and prioritise work.

7. Good stakeholder management skills. Experience in working closely with Government and local agencies is advantages.

8. Well-knowledged in Microsoft 365 or Office 365 is an added advantage.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

RESOURCE MOBILISATION

• Develop and execute the workplan for raising unrestricted money from corporate and individual donors.

• Track, analyze and report on fundraising results in the corporate field and measure, manage and report

performance using agreed performance measure.

• Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of all gifts, solicitation and donor information in MAF database

including tracking and fulfillments of pledges, donor recognition activities and receipting and timely

acknowledgement.

• To continue to raise profile of MAF by networking at appropriate events and secure new introductions.

• To manage the public relations of MAFSB and portrays a healthy corporate image of MAF and MAFSB.

• To manage, identify, plan and initiate advocacy programmes and events on HIV and other diseases in Sarawak, and work closely with Resource Mobilisation Department, MAF KL.

• Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders including Government and Corporate Sectors at the local and national level, by ensuring there is regular communications with referral services, JKN Sarawak, JKM Sarawak and other local key stakeholders.

• Actively seeks sponsorship to support MAF events.

FUNDRAISING

Regular Giving

• In charge of monthly reporting to the Management and Finance Department on the successful and unsuccessful pledges rate, challenges and improvements to be made.

• To assist - maintain the Recurring Donors with a dropout rate less than a maximum of 5% monthly, and achieve the target of increasing the number of new recurring donors of minimum 10% of the current total amount pledges

collected/raised by the programme.

• To ensure the monthly deduction of the pledges is done systematically twice a month with our Bank partner for successful transactions and to avoid double transactions Social enterprise

• To assist - Responsible for the management of MAF Merchandise inventory and stock i.e., design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimise inventory control procedures, document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory, and finance management.

• To assist - Responsible in ensuring the development of Social Enterprise through sales of in-house MAF Merchandise and partnership with other Business Suppliers.

AIDS Solidarity Funds Sarawak

• PIC for ASF Sarawak. This includes execution of fundraising event with Patron of Teratak Kasih Tok Nan in Kuching, under the AIDS Solidarity Fund Sarawak project

• PIC for managing ad-hoc events and fundraising campaigns organised by MAF or proposed by corporate partners under the AIDS Solidarity Fund project.

Language

Malay, English, Bahasa Negeri Sarawak. Conversational proficiency in other local languages is an advantage
