Job Description

  • Plan, develop, and implement sustainable successful trade marketing strategies to build the business for the assigned channels / customers and support the department to achieve the sales budget.
  • Develop channel strategies and vision to customers; leads and supports the implementing of annual trade marketing plans across customers; rolls -out annual trade marketing plans for Consumer Health Care (CHC)key brands via strong collaboration with the Sales managers / Distributor sales force and the customer / buyer, to ensure seamless execution of all in-store activities.
  • To take clear consumption opportunities identified by the consumer marketing team, and to use these to frame up an understanding of who is the target shopper and understanding of how these target shoppers behave in order to prioritize channels opportunities.
  • Play a key role in driving excellence in store execution across key customers/key accounts for all product categories.
  • Responsible for development, execution and performance of all promotional mechanics and programs designed to increase in-store brand presence and ultimately sales off-take at trade level. Conduct promotion evaluation to monitor the ROI of trade promotions and measure the effect of in-store activities.
  • Collaborate with agencies to develop innovative, effective and cost-efficient point-of-sale materials; drive alignment on brand visibility between marketing and sales teams.
  • Manage the trade marketing A&P budget expenses as per the allocation agreed by the management, to achieve maximum returns. Ensure budgets are well maintained, ensure promotional activities and spends are reported in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Conduct field visits to check P.O.S. promotion, establish relationships with customers and get their feedback, monitor competitors’ activities and implement tactical counter measure campaigns as needed.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team in the co-ordination of product, price and pack changes.
  • To forecast commercial and promotional stocks for assigned products.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum University Degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • At least 5-7 years working experience in trade marketing or channel development experience in consumer healthcare/OTC products, with a proven track record in a similar position in the consumer healthcare/OTC industry.
  • A person with brand management or key account management experience in FMCG industry will also be considered for this position
  • Possess strong leadership and communication ability to lead and influence the marketing and sales team to achieve the targeted results
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively
