SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the operational activities at the Power Plant on a shift basis, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This includes overseeing plant processes, performance, chemistry and environmental compliance, as well as liaising with relevant internal and external parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage daily shift operations of the Power Plant (Waste to Energy and Waste Segregation Facility).
  • Coordinate and prioritize maintenance and operational tasks, ensuring smooth plant performance.
  • Operate the plant safely and in compliance with regulations and company standards.
  • Act as the Plant Manager's representative outside normal working hours.
  • Lead emergency response and make decisions during non-routine events.
  • Analyze operational incidents and improve procedures for safe and efficient operations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Work with Engineers and Technicians to prioritize plant maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all reports and documentation meet contractual and management requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or suitable technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in the maintenance of Thermal Power Plants.
  • A detailed knowledge of engineering practices, function and processes involved in power plant operation and maintenance.
