SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the operational activities at the Power Plant on a shift basis, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This includes overseeing plant processes, performance, chemistry and environmental compliance, as well as liaising with relevant internal and external parties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and manage daily shift operations of the Power Plant (Waste to Energy and Waste Segregation Facility).
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance and operational tasks, ensuring smooth plant performance.
- Operate the plant safely and in compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Act as the Plant Manager's representative outside normal working hours.
- Lead emergency response and make decisions during non-routine events.
- Analyze operational incidents and improve procedures for safe and efficient operations.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
- Work with Engineers and Technicians to prioritize plant maintenance needs.
- Ensure all reports and documentation meet contractual and management requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or suitable technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in the maintenance of Thermal Power Plants.
- A detailed knowledge of engineering practices, function and processes involved in power plant operation and maintenance.
