What a Product Engineer Does In HP

- Provide resolution and implement engineering solution to product/manufacturing issue
- Engage R&D and Product Development to enable New Product Introductions and Extensions
- Identify the risks early in the program and determine the test methods needed to characterize the product to ensure we meet the end-customer needs. This is especially true in any product or process NUD’s
- Throughout the program, characterize the product to ensure we understand the risks and what it would take to address the risks
- Drive Product Qualification processes
- Drive and implement strong Product Quality System
- Own the form, fit and function of HP Printhead and drive Change Management
- Engage and drive solutions across HP value chains team such as Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Tech Support as well as Production, to improve Manufacturing Line Productivity, Yield and Quality
- Conceptualize, Develop and Deliver solutions to simplify Processes and deliver Cost Reduction out of the Operations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology or manufacturing-related engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Typically 4-6 years experience.
- Using engineering tools and software packages to design and automate manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of material properties and hardware and electrical component design.
- Using empirical analysis, modeling and methodologies to validate manufacturing process and tooling design and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate manufacturing plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at management levels.
