Medical Transcriptionist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Transcriptionist proficient in Mandarin or Cantonese and English to work with our US-based client. The role involves transcribing and translating medical reports, conversations, and other healthcare-related documents from Mandarin/Cantonese into English and vice versa. The ideal candidate will have strong language skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transcribe and translate medical conversations, reports, and notes between healthcare providers and patients from Mandarin/Cantonese to English and vice versa.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and confidentiality in all transcription tasks.
• Interpret and record complex medical terminology in both languages.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure understanding and correct interpretation of medical information.
• Maintain strict adherence to healthcare regulations, data privacy, and patient confidentiality.
• Proofread transcriptions to ensure consistency and eliminate errors.
• Meet tight deadlines while ensuring high-quality transcription and translation services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese and English (both written and spoken).
• Prior experience in medical transcription or translation is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology in both languages.
• Excellent listening skills, with the ability to capture details accurately.
• High attention to detail and ability to proofread effectively.
• Good time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Familiarity with transcription software or tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality, and medical ethics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working with US-based clients in the healthcare or medical transcription sector.
• Certification or training in medical transcription is an advantage.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems and practices in the US.
