Job Summary

This role offers challenges in effectively managing CCIB CC Market Conduct NPI Risk through collaboration with Country teams, System/ application owners. The individual will lead risk, control and governance activities for Market Conduct – Non public information, with focus on RCSA and development of Risk Treatment plans as well as ongoing governance of in-scope risks and processes for CCIB Client Coverage. The role-holder will work closely with key stakeholders like CFCC and Group OR to ensure effective delivery of risk management activities in CC.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

Understand the following;

  • Group Transactional Conflicts and Information Walls (“TCIW”) Standard and all related policies/standards related to data, access and information prottection

Ensure the following;

  • All design aspects of the change are fit for purpose, aligned to Group Transactional Conflicts and Information Walls (“TCIW”) Standard, and ultimately achieve the required business goals
  • Adherence to the relevant CCIB Client Coverage procedures

Business

  • Be the primary point of contact for CCIB CC Market Conduct NPI Risk.
  • Provide stakeholders guidance and support on all matters related to Market Conduct NPI risk
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand dependencies (inbound and outbound)
  • Understand the capabilities and services within Client Coverage, including the applications, tools, and processes

Processes

  • Ensure risk frameworks are updated to reflect risks at horizon
  • Ensure timely CST execution and share results with respective stakeholders.
  • Remediate identified exceptions in collaboration with Country teams, conduct Root Cause Analysis and resolve as needed
  • Complete Market Conduct NPI RRA on annual or trigger basis. Construct RTP if needed with due approvals, and track actions to completion.
  • Maintain the Testing Guidance Document to ensure it’s upto date. of process ensuring highest standard Market Conduct Risk are managed.
  • Seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement to processes and tasks across the function
  • Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training including e-learning within stated timeframes.
  • Proactive identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders.

People & Talent

  • Understanding of Risks related to poor information access controls.
  • Knowledge of the Operational Risk Framework, it’s purpose and how to effectively manage a Risk Register
  • Degree or diploma qualified
  • Knowledge of how to manage mini projects.
  • Advocate of team multi culture and collaborative with commercial and pragmatic approach
  • Ability to engage with all levels of senior management
  • Possess excellent communication, collaboration, presenting and influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually with minimal supervision
  • Experience in leading technical & time critical projects

Risk Management

  • Identify risks and issues, and ensure appropriate mitigation or treatment plans are in place
  • Conduct annual Risk and Control Self Assessment, Top Down Reviews etc
  • Actively manage risks and issues identified, and escalate appropriately
  • Incorporate appropriate controls when designing processes/solutions

Governance

  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ensure all necessary agreements are obtained from the respective Client Coverage Data workstream leads and are auditable

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
