Job Description
About the Role:

As the EH&S Specialist, you will handle ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of our semiconductor manufacturing operations at our new manufacturing facility on Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing EH&S programs to support a safe and sustainable workplace. Your ability will help us meet regulatory requirements and uphold our commitment to the well-being of our employees and the environment.

Work Location: Onsite – Johor Bahru.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and support EH&S policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
• Provide EH&S training and education programs to employees and contractors.
• Monitor and report on EH&S performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EH&S considerations into all aspects of manufacturing operations.
• Manage waste disposal, chemical handling, and other environmental aspects of the facility.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and drive EH&S excellence.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EH&S role, preferably in semiconductor or capital equipment manufacturing or other similar industry.
• In-depth knowledge of EH&S regulations and standards in Malaysia.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing EH&S programs and policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead others.
• Certification in occupational safety (e.g.: FMA & OSHA) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in EH&S management systems and software.
