JOB TITLE: AREA DIRECTOR ASSET SOLUTIONS

This role is responsible for all aspects of administration and management of the geographical area (Malaysia and Brunei initially) to meet statutory requirements including taxation, financial and human resources management.

Responsible for local business development support for the Petrofac Asset Solutions business in line with sales and marketing strategies. This includes advising on sales positioning and strategy and developing strong professional relationships with national and international clients, partners and subcontractors.

Responsible for support of engineering and project managers to assist with local hiring, logistics, statutory and general administrative support. Responsible for set up and management of a regional hub to effectively support all projects in the wider APAC region and globally as required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and demonstrable HSE leadership.
  • Ensure corporate and regulatory QHSE compliance across all projects and operations executed in or supported from Malaysia.
  • Responsible for country financial forecast and budget processes (Malaysia, Brunei and other countries as requested).
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a technical and support services Hub to meet the requirements of the regional organisation.
  • Responsible for building strong relationships with, and close collaboration with other country leadership in the region and globally to ensure Hub set up meets all project requirements.
  • Responsible for building a strong team culture and promoting a strong sense of communication, collaboration and team spirit.
  • Responsible for development, talent management and training of locally based staff.
  • Manage and support all projects run from the regional offices ensuring compliance with the applicable legislative requirements.
  • Promote Petrofac brand within the region and build relationships with regulatory bodies and government agencies as required to effectively execute operations locally.
  • Provide and promote a strong culture of client management to ensure that client requirements and objectives are fully understood and delivered to a high quality.
  • Seek regular feedback from clients to ensure that they are satisfied with the quality of services being provided.
  • Act quickly and effectively to resolve any issues or problems identified.
  • Drive business growth and support Business Development particularly with respect to setting in country strategy.
  • Identify and implement effective partnerships with peers in the industry to support business growth.
  • Maintain an overview of technical resource requirements to efficiently manage Petrofac’s Asset Solutions projects and minimise non-utilisation.
  • Advising on taxation, accounting and statutory costs.
  • Managing local office net overhead budgets in accordance with the approved annual budget.
  • Manage the development, maintenance and implementation of the Quality and HSE Management Systems maintain appropriate accreditation and ensure consistency across the wider region.
  • Provide visible leadership and support to all activities in the region, encouraging collaboration.
  • Ensure that the business is operated, and all services are delivered with a clear focus on Quality and in a way that meets HSE requirements
