Job Purpose

To support Malaysian Re’s growth in monitoring their financial performance and ensure timely report and analysis for reporting to the Senior Management, BOD and relevant parties. And, to ensure external financial reporting and other regulations are met which is compliance with BNM, Bursa, MASB and other statutory/regulatory reporting requirement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial results and analysis of the performance of the Company.
  • Prepare BNM submission ICSS, BNM trial run and variance analysist.
  • Prepare Financial Statements of the Company.
  • Prepare Annual Return of Monetary Authority Singapore (“MAS”).
  • Support Supervisor in yearly budget process for MRE.
  • Provide financial information to other departments i.e. RMCD, Corporate & Strategic Planning department and underwriters.
  • Support Supervisor in developing appropriate Finance policies and procedures considering all relevant accounting standards, compliance, and risk management requirements as well as best practices.
  • Support Supervisor in executing Company’s Special projects.
  • Prepare papers to be tabled to SMC, GMC, ACM and Board meeting.
  • Plan in prepare the BNM submission RBC, RBCT & consolidated RBC and ROSS
  • Support and work on MFRS 17 parallel and go-live implementation in terms of the technical accounting, and reporting once it takes effect.
  • Prepare MFRS 17 Financial Statements of the Company both for Conventional and Retakaful.
  • Support MFRS 17 in terms of preparing and updating SOP as and when.
  • Support Supervisor in managing and understanding MFRS 17 System (SAS) in terms of technical, control, validation, and analysis.
  • Prepare analysis of performance (AOP) based on MFRS 17 results.

Qualification

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Insurance

Professional

  • ACCA or membership in similar professional accounting qualification is highly preferred.

Experience

  • 3 – 5 years in a similar position.
  • Knowledge and skills in accounting, financial analysis, reporting tools (B.I) and preparation of reports. Advantage knowledge in SAS System.
  • Knowledge in accounting standard, preferably in MFRS17.
  • Working with Big Data
  • Experience in any reporting tools
  • Experience in project management
