Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for managing all documentation related to both overseas and domestic import and export processes at relevant ports and airports. Ensure timely processing and compliance with customs regulations.
  2. Review and verify all received import and export documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with Malaysian customs regulations. Ensure all documentation is complete and follows the required customs procedures.
  3. After verification, input import/export data into the customs system to obtain approval for customs declarations.
  4. Receive, log, and centrally manage certificates and legal documents issued by Malaysian customs. Ensure proper registration and handover records when passing documents to clients.
  5. Review and regularly organize customs clearance documents. Ensure timely, accurate, and complete filing, and maintain proper logs for documents requested for return or transfer to clients.
  6. Classify goods based on customs formalities and the correct Customs Tariff Number. Draft customs declaration forms and submit them for verification to ensure the accuracy of both the customs tariff number and applicable duty rates.
  7. Collect and organize professional training information, create departmental training plans, and coordinate with the HR department for execution. Maintain training records and evaluate the effectiveness of each session.
  8. Provide relevant documentation for internal audits and address any inquiries raised by the audit team.
  9. Participate in company safety initiatives, including safety training and emergency drills, to improve crisis management skills.
  10. Assist other departments and complete tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  1. Hold a valid certificate or licence for customs clearance in Malaysia.
  2. Solid theoretical foundation, familiar with foreign trade processes and the entire customs/shipping workflow.
  3. Strong communication and coordination skills, able to work under pressure, and provide timely feedback and solutions to work-related issues.
  4. Basic computer skills, able to use office software such as Word and Excel.
  5. Meticulous, proactive, responsible, able to handle high work pressure, and passionate about the job.
  6. Candidates with more than 3 years of experience in international freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, and logistics are preferred.
  7. Proficient in Malay and English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
