We are now seeking a full-time Manager - Business Development (Sales) to join our team in GFS - Global Freight Services (An affiliate of Li & Fung).

What You'll Do Is To...…

1. Sales & Revenue (80%)

  • To achieve personal sales targets (locally controlled business) as set by DM, Sales & Marketing on an annual basis
  • To actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities in addition to managing allocated portfolio
  • Responsible for the sales process from initial point of contact (lead generation), presentations, and proposals through contract negotiations and execution.
  • To develop and implement strategies and tactics to meet and, preferably, exceed annual revenue and sales targets
  • To oversee the development and delivery of sales proposals and product/services presentations
  • To provide senior management with relevant, quantified, and clear information relating to market activity
  • Identify customers with outstanding payment and encouraging timely repayment

2. Support of Sales Function (20%)

  • Execute sales strategy jointly with related departments to fulfil given growth targets.
  • Support area/ country in creation of sales target list and pricing issues
  • Provide bid support to area/country and corporate tender management

You will thrive in the role if you ……

  • Diploma/Degree or above in Business Management / Supply Chain / Logistics Management or other related disciplines preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience in the Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Have experience with business development and accounts management in Integrated Supply Chain Solutions with expertise in freight services.
  • A Minimum 2 years of working experience in sales & marketing with proven track record
  • Outgoing disposition, articulate, customer-oriented, and highly self-driven to excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage customers at senior management levels.
  • Good negotiation skills and value-based selling skills
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate and influence others
  • Computer literate and competent in MS Office suite of products.
  • Must have knowledge in freight management/ import/ export and local customs requirements.
  • Must process own car with a valid driving license
