Responsibilities:
a. Performing data warehouse ETL development tasks in response to user needs.
b. Good in Unix scripting
c. Support in development, testing and implementation of database design, ETL solution, SQL
tuning, optimization, etc.
d. Support in monitoring execution of ETL batch job.
e. Support in creating and maintaining documentation throughout the SDLC
f. Adhere to full software development lifecycle.
Requirements:
a. 1-2 years of working experience in data warehousing project or experience with RDMS database
design and development. Experience with Teradata is preferred.
b. Good in Unix scripting
c. Candidate should be able to understand ETL concepts.
d. Experience in ETL tools and integration design, development, deployment with either one of the
ETL tool, e.g. Informatica, ODI or Datastage.
e. Ability to analyse, map, transform, and transfer data between variety of data formats.
f. Experience in writing PL/SQL, stored procedures, views, and optimizing database queries
g. Basic knowledge of Unix command is needed. Familiar with Shell scripting or SAS programming
will be an added advantage.
h. Communicate well, as well as ability to work independently or collaborate with team members
when necessary. Self-directed and keen on learning.
i. Strong analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills in solving support tasks
j. Able to work beyond office hours if required.
