Job Scope :
- Accountable for the procurement of materials, equipment and services and ensure goods are purchased according to the required specification.
- Negotiate and coordinate with suppliers for stock purchase and to ensure prompt delivery.
- Develop supplier base and negotiate for best prices and terms from suppliers.
- To select, evaluate and register suppliers based on competitiveness, qualification and ability to meet requirements.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders for suppliers and liaise with site personnel on delivery of materials and/or equipment.
- To liaise with suppliers in term of requirements, cost, delivery and after-sale services for materials or equipment purchased.
- Monitoring of materials usage and maintain stock movement reports.
- To maintain a good filing system of all records and documents.
- To perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Good interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in both written and spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin.
- Good work ethics and interpersonal skills.
- Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
- High accountability in providing feedback on assignment progress and issues.
- Good planning and organizational skills and able to multitask.
- Able to work with minimum supervision with high level of accuracy and integrity while working under pressure.
- Computer literate with good knowledge in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of building materials in the construction industry would be an added advantage.
