Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to lead and drive priority strategic projects with material long-term impact to CD’s financials and valuation, including management of the end-to-end process:
  1. Top-down evaluation of new business ideas/ project proposals, conducting qualitative & quantitative analysis towards securing Go/No-Go decision for deep-dives.
  2. Setup of project structure & team incl. functional experts, developing rationale, mechanisms & recommendations for strategic projects/ partnerships/ potential M&A.
  3. Project managing multiple workstreams across CelcomDigi & partner teams and managing dependencies to ensure on-time and quality deliverables.
  4. Ensuring timely identification and clear escalation of potential risks/ issues or challenges to management for prompt decision making and de-bottlenecking.
  • Responsible to build strong relationships across CelcomDigi teams and partners and build ability to influence peers/ senior leaders on own strategic projects.
  • Responsible to prepare and lead workshops and presentations with CxOs and senior leaders across CelcomDigi, and support Board engagements on own strategic projects.
  • As an example of a key strategic program on 5G – potential strategic projects may include related M&A activities including due diligence, development of priority 5G use cases to drive Enterprise 5G adoption, streamlining operating model and way of work between CelcomDigi and wholesale partner, and strategic evaluations around 5G policy. This would also include detailed engagement across stakeholder levels - Board, Shareholders, Industry players, Vendors, and Government bodies (e.g., Ministries, Regulator, ..)

Requirements:

  • 7 - 10 years in Strategy/ Consulting/ Telecoms/ Investments
  • Strategy consulting experience, leading and delivering strategic projects
  • Reasonable understanding of the telecoms sector and business models (including network infrastructure and sharing)
  • In-depth experience in top-down structuring, analysis and developing detailed financial models and business cases, cost benefit analyses
  • Degree or Masters in Accounting/ Finance/ Engineering/ Management/ Analytics.
  • Experience with structured analysis. Intellectual curiosity, learning agility.
  • Expert in managing complex strategic projects.
  • Skilled in top-down structuring/ storytelling, problem solving, strategic frameworks
  • Reasonable understanding of telco network and IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Strong analytical skills + ability to interpret complex data, provide strategic insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to precisely convey complex information to senior executives.
  • Able to perform financial analyses and build top-down business cases.
  • Results oriented with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
