Responsibilities

· Engineer pressure vessels to meet customer specifications, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

· Prepare comprehensive engineering drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and assembly drawings.

· Conduct thorough stress analysis and calculations to ensure the structural integrity of pressure vessels.

· Optimize vessel designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and performance

· Select appropriate materials for pressure vessel components based on their strength, corrosion resistance, and temperature requirements.

· Ensure compliance with relevant material standards and specifications, and develop and implement robust quality control procedures.

· Review and approve design documents, calculations, and drawings to maintain accuracy and consistency.

· Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality and compliance of pressure vessels throughout the manufacturing process.

· Ensure that pressure vessel designs and manufacturing processes comply with all relevant Malaysian and international standards and regulations, such as ASME, API, and EN.

· Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality control, and sales teams, assisting in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and resolving customer inquiries

Requirement

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pressure vessel design or a related field.

· Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor etc.) and a strong understanding of pressure vessel design codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, EN).

· Ability to analyse complex problems and find effective solutions.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Certifications in pressure vessel design (e.g., ASME Code Stamp) can be an added advantage
