The Assistant Manager, (Death, Critical Illness, Total & Permanent Disability, Female Illness) actively involved in assisting Deputy Manager to lead the team to achieve the expected individual's productivity, to deliver the service turnaround time, attending penders timely, attending trainings and improve quality of assessment in driving Claim Department operational efficiency towards service excellence.

  • Perform claims assessment and approval on all claims based on authority limit for the whole team. Ensure all claims are assessed in accordance with SOP within TAT for claim process by team. Accountable on team efficiency and effectiveness performance on TAT, productivities per level set.
  • Assist team members to assess complicated claim cases and continuously giving technical advice and motivation whenever required. Ensure team members to assess all complicated cases within agreed timeline and penders are attended within SOP and agree timeline.
  • Attend product and technical trainings, and encourage team members to participate in the trainings, to ensure the team acquiring and improving the required job and technical knowledge.
  • Ensures section/unit complies with all regulatory (internal and external) and corporate requirements. To work closely with Risk, Compliance, Shariah, Actuarial and others operation department.
  • Coach team to provide excellent service delivery to reduce all complaining index from all touch point on directly and indirectly related to claim matters. Have sense of urgency in request and deliverable on all adhoc request.
  • Support Peers, Managers and HOD in managing daily operational efficiency, e.g. distribution of worklist and assist to handle job tasks assigned in absence of peers, immediate managers and HOD.
