Job Description:

  • Develop and prepare designs of (mainly) Residential solar PV systems including but not limited to the electrical, structural and mechanical aspects of the projects.
  • Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings, schematics, and maps. Consult with architects, engineers, surveyors, and workers while preparing and presenting the drawings.
  • Work with Project Department to confirm engineering design to decide DC equipment and AC interconnection locations at the site and connections to the existing electrical system.
  • Liaise with Business Development Executives to meet Client expectation.
  • Review deliverables at project milestones to ensure the project is within timeline.
  • Specific dimensions, materials, and method in the drawings/plans, discuss with team to improve the drawings standard time to time, to avoid any info misleading to project delivery.
  • Provide weekly reporting and new project scheduling to the Head of Department, and proactively update critical issues such like roof limitation, site information not complete and etc.
  • Implement best practices and safe work procedure throughout the design consideration.
  • Add details to PV-related drawing/plan from knowledge of building technique. Record, implement and manage design change requirement, create manual, process flow for the department.
  • Work with internal and/or external parties such as C&S, consulting firms, local authorities on project requirement, application and documentation.
  • Design plan using computer-aided Design and drafting (CADD) software.

Qualification & Requirement:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably at least 1 year working experience in electrical installations or construction industry.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficient in Solar PV system design, AutoCAD, and PVSyst will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and ERP System.
  • Customer oriented, independent, problem solving, reporting skills and good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Able to do multi-task and work in fast pace environment.
  • Comfortable to work on weekends and public holidays if required.
  • Possess valid driving license D, and able to travel
