Job Description

  • Ensure that the Company’s General Insurance and Takaful contract liabilities are in accordance with the regulator’s guidelines.
  • Work closely with internal IFRS17 project team to assist the month end closing based on IFRS17 Standard.
  • Continuous support on the ad-hoc request between Actuarial and Finance/other departments.
  • Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Valuation for BNM submission - Assist in preparing valuation results and reports for BNM submission.
  • Understanding of internal and external factors that affect the insurance business and how these factors translate into the underwriting results and profitability of the Company.
  • Monthly Valuation based on IFRS 17 Standard.
  • Assist in preparing valuation results and reports for Maybank and Ageas.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics or in related field.
  • At least 5 years of actuarial experience in general insurance/takaful business
  • Active and good progress in Actuarial Professional examination.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and actuarial software like SAS or SQL programming skills.
  • Strong analytical and logical problem solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
