Electrical & Instrument Engineer ( Reliability and Maintenance )
Summary of Job:
- Manage the production of various process gases at the site to support customer manufacturing processes.
- Monitor production and operations parameters, record and report abnormalities, and communicate with remote operation center engineers.
- Serve as the first point of contact with the customer on-site.
Responsibilities:
Production / Operations:
- Daily operation of multiple process systems for nitrogen, CDA, hydrogen, and other industrial gases.
- Ensure production systems operate at expected capacity, consistent, safe, and reliable.
- Strict adherence to SOS operation practices.
- Communicate with customers, attend to their questions/requests, and refer relevant information to production manager and ROC for decision-making.
- Facilitate process tuning and equipment operations verification by communicating with ROC when needed.
Process Reliability and Safety:
- Service, calibrate, repair, and maintain electrical/instrument equipment.
- Manage related documents for valves, instruments, network systems, PLC/DCS/control system hardware and programs.
- Handle emergencies, breakdowns, unplanned issues, and repairs.
- Plan preventive maintenance policies and schedules for all electrical instrument equipment.
- Conduct plant change-overs and equipment testing for statutory compliance and best industry practices.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and test plant process conditions when necessary.
- Monitor key operating parameters, report abnormalities, and eliminate safety-related operation risks.
Site Management:
- Maintain a clean and safe site, manage preventive measures, and report any unsafe situations.
- Communicate with customers to ensure overall safety and orderliness of the site.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Standard reporting and operations update with ROC.
- Monitor and facilitate equipment with appointed vendors.
- Handle any other assigned tasks.
Requirement:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, majoring in Instrumentation / Automation / Electrical / Electronic or equivalent.
Working Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in Power / Chemical plants, process systems in production, operations, or maintenance.
- Prior experience in the industrial gas industry is advantageous.
- Fundamental knowledge in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS implementation.
Knowledge & Skill:
- Proficient in MS Office and engineering drawings.
- Analytic, strong problem-solving skills, and logical approach.
- Open and good team player with the ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Good understanding of process management systems, protocols, and adherence to SOPs.
