Job Overview:

As the Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by crafting and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives targeting the Oil & Gas sector. Your expertise in logistics and supply chain management will be essential in creating value-driven solutions for clients while expanding the company’s market presence. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach who can manage the full sales cycle—from identifying and securing new business opportunities to ensuring post-sales support and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Market Strategy:

Develop and implement a robust marketing and sales strategy aimed at identifying and securing new business opportunities in the Oil & Gas sector. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and providing tailored supply chain solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.

Proposal & Tender Management:

Lead the preparation and submission of tender documents and business proposals, ensuring they are comprehensive, competitive, and align with customer expectations. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop pricing structures and operational solutions that offer competitive advantages in the market.

Client Relationship Management:

Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, conducting regular business reviews to monitor and evaluate service levels. Ensure that service delivery is aligned with client expectations and commitments, proactively addressing any issues that arise to maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

Operational Coordination & Expertise:

Work closely with operations teams to establish effective cargo movement procedures and provide accurate and timely advice to clients regarding shipment logistics. Ensure seamless coordination between sales and operational functions to deliver a high standard of service.

Cost & Profitability Monitoring:

Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability while ensuring competitiveness in the market. Work collaboratively with the credit management team to manage DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and ensure timely approval of credit facilities through the Credit Control Committee.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:

Maintain up-to-date customer profiles and regularly submit weekly activity reports, opportunity management, and sales forecasts. Track and report on sales performance, providing insights to optimize strategies and meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company.

Corporate Governance & Compliance:

Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, corporate governance, and compliance, ensuring that all activities adhere to company policies and industry regulations. You will be expected to represent the company with integrity in all dealings.

Target Achievement & Continuous Improvement:

Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) during the review period. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights and feedback to enhance sales processes and customer service.

Additional Responsibilities:

Take on other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader strategic goals.

Job Requirements:

Educational Background:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Economics, Logistics, or a related field is required. An Advanced Diploma in Logistics or equivalent qualifications will be considered.

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing, ideally within the Oil & Gas or Transportation sectors.

Strong professional selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business proposals and tender submissions.

Strong market knowledge and familiarity with the dynamics of the transportation and logistics industry are highly preferred.

Personal Attributes:

Presentable, confident, and professional with strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong mobility and willingness to travel as required.
