JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for formulating effective strategies to address future challenges, as part of developing a long-term strategic plan for the organisation. These efforts include leading the development of enterprise strategy, business plans, and tactical strategies through effective strategic planning methods, including scenario planning and analysis exercises and other related tools and mechanisms. Also responsible for developing new strategic business opportunities aligned with organisational goals and aspirations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct market and industry research and analysis related to strategic issues and organisational challenges.
  • Monitor and analyse business and industry trends, market changes, and perform the benchmarking exercise.
  • Identify key internal and external drivers that are likely to influence future scenarios.
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data as inputs to the scenario definition process and analyse key relationships that will have an impact on the organisation.
  • Lead the development of scenario planning for EPF including conducting organisational wide analysis of plausible scenarios, analysing disruptive trends and their impact, formulating and assess the potential risk,
  • Develop key scenarios for EPF, construct compelling narratives as well as recommend solutions to support organisation’s future direction.
  • Conduct due diligence on proposals or new business opportunities utilising knowledge of companies, research techniques, regulatory limitations, and policy implications.
  • Analyse and evaluate business proposals as well as provide recommendations to management and key decision-makers.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, develop dynamic presentations, and pitch ideas on strategies, new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential collaborations.
  • Drive implementation strategies, assess their effectiveness and provide recommendations where necessary.
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with strategic partners as well as work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for formulating business strategies including strategic development roadmap, broad guidelines, and framework alignment.
  • Involvement in the formulation and execution of short and long-term strategic plans of the EPF.
  • Perform other Enterprise Strategy related tasks assigned or delegated by the Head of Enterprise Strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a Bachelor Degree or Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Economics, Finance, Strategic Planning, Business Management or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institutions; MBA qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of solid professional experience in Strategy, Business Development, or Corporate Finance, with preferably 6 years at the management level.
  • Must have previous experience in Strategy Formulation and Execution, Strategic Planning and Analysis, Corporate Strategy, Business Planning or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and has excellent communication and negotiation skills in managing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong background in strategic thinking with demonstrated ability in problem solving.
  • Good financial and analytical skills supported by strong business acumen.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate, resourceful and self-driven.
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by the Malaysian Government.
