Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sustainability Engineer (new position) at Press Metal Group in Shah Alam. As a Sustainability Engineer, you will be responsible to play a major role in the development of a broad based, company-wide strategic sustainability initiatives for integrating sustainability functions throughout the group of Companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and monitor the activities of Sustainability Management for the group of Companies.
  • Improving environmental conservation management, including recycling, public health, water and air pollution.
  • Collect and collate qualitative and quantitative data to help communicate and support the sustainability management.
  • Identifying critical research areas such as renewable energy, climate change, carbon footprint, water security, waste management system.
  • Work hand in hand with plant operation team and develop necessary road map toward sustainability.
  • Conduct training, briefing, assessment on all sustainability management and members.
  • To consult and advice policy on environmental best practices.
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Degree or higher in Health & Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Occupational Health or relevant professional qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in sustainability management field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience in the subject of climate change, pollution or water use would be added advantage.
  • Relevant certifications in sustainability and environmental management.
  • Familiar with local and International Environmental Standard.
