Lorenzo, a leading furniture supplier, is seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to create stunning and functional showrooms across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak.

Job Summary

As our Interior Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the customer experience by designing captivating and functional showrooms that showcase our furniture collection. You will be responsible for:

  • Creating inspiring and functional layouts: You will assess site conditions and develop detailed design plans that optimize space usage, showcase our furniture, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Visualizing the design: You will create mood boards, color palettes, and 3D renderings to communicate your design vision to clients and stakeholders.
  • Selecting materials and finishes: You will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of materials, finishes, and furniture, ensuring the selection aligns with our brand aesthetic and budget.
  • Collaborating with suppliers and contractors: You will work closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure that the design is executed according to plans and specifications, and that the installation process meets high-quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

Visit showroom locations to assess layout, dimensions, existing conditions, and potential design opportunities.

  • Develop functional layouts that optimize space usage, considering furniture placement, circulation flow, and any spatial constraints.
  • Create mood boards and color palettes to convey the desired aesthetic for each showroom.
  • Produce detailed drawings of floor plans, elevations, and sections using design software.
  • Generate 3D renderings with lighting to visualize the final design and communicate the vision effectively.
  • Select and specify materials, finishes, and furnishings, ensuring they meet quality standards and complement our furniture collection.
  • Oversee the installation process to ensure that all design elements are installed correctly and meet quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, and construction details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces.
  • Experience in showroom design is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations across Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak.
