Job Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement: Identify, evaluate, and streamline existing business processes to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity. Utilize process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen to drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Conduct assessment on operational process issues with focus on identifying ‘why?’
  • Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
  • Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
  • Process Mapping: Analyse and document current business processes through the creation of detailed process maps, flowcharts, and diagrams. Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement within workflows. Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine process maps.
  • Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Kaizen). Determine and evaluates existing processes.
  • Measures performance against process requirements.
  • Performs cost and benefit analyses.
  • Challenge Status Quo: Proactively challenge existing processes and assumptions to drive innovation and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Identify opportunities to disrupt conventional approaches and propose alternative solutions for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Surveys and analyzes industry best practices for new techniques and processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams and departments to understand their needs, gather requirements, and develop solutions. Foster strong working relationships to ensure effective implementation of process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive issue resolutions through Kaizen & structured root cause problem solving methodology.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on new processes, tools, and methodologies. Provide ongoing support and guidance to teams to ensure successful adoption and adherence to process improvements.
  • Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and service quality.
  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor process improvement projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Coordinate with project stakeholders, track progress, and report on project outcomes
  • Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project.
  • Deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
  • Other ad hoc assignments assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Industrial / Systems / Manufacturing / Process / Engineering, Quality Management, Process Excellence, Management Systems or similar.
  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Candidate should have at least 4 years of working experience in Operation Management, Business Process Improvements / Transformation, Analytics, Management / Process Advisory in related fields.
  • Meticulous, strong analytical, focused on problem solving and able to interact with the team members and partners to achieve goals.
  • Strong ability to analyze, draw conclusions, and execute appropriate actions in response to data. Therefore, advanced Excel capabilities is required.
  • A people person who are able to work across functional areas and levels of the organization and to interact at distance.
  • Excited about driving operational change by sharing insights and influencing others.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to accept new ideas, people and procedures and ability to have fun at the same time.
  • Leadership skills are essential as well, ability to lead and supervise team and work under tight deadline.
  • Lean, Kaizen, VSM is key.
  • Familiarity with financial and customer service principles, are added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and analyse reports, spreadsheets and cost & expenses statistics
  • Proficient user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Problem-solving & Positive attitude
