Job Title: Marketing Head (Malaysia)

Job Summary:

As a key member of a dynamic startup, the Marketing Head will play a pivotal role in building the company’s brand from the ground up in Malaysia. This position requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on creativity, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand Strategy Development:

• Craft and execute the company’s overseas brand image and marketing strategies, starting from scratch.

• Develop and implement brand promotion plans that resonate with the Malaysian market.

2. Product Launch Strategy:

• Formulate and oversee strategies for new product launches, ensuring a strong market presence.

• Provide guidance on market promotion to drive product adoption and customer engagement.

3. Public Relations Management:

• Manage the dissemination of company information to overseas markets, ensuring consistent messaging.

• Handle overseas public relations crises and manage public opinion effectively.

4. Advertising and Brand Management:

• Oversee brand positioning, advertising campaigns, and the production of marketing materials with limited resources.

• Manage costs associated with international business activities and engage with third-party suppliers on a budget.

5. Regional Marketing Collaboration:

• Collaborate closely with a small team to develop marketing strategies, communication plans, and execute market activities.

• Oversee promotional events such as auto shows, event marketing, and other activities to drive brand awareness.

6. Budget Management:

• Manage a tight regional market publicity budget, ensuring efficient allocation and optimal use of funds.

• Regularly review and assess budget performance to ensure marketing activities are cost-effective.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies in a startup environment.

• Experience in a multicultural market, with a focus on the Malaysian market.

Skills:

• Strong strategic planning, execution, and adaptability.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural team.

• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Proficiency in marketing analytics and budget management.

• A deep understanding of local market trends and consumer behavior in Malaysia.
