1. Performing Diagnostic Imaging Procedures:
• Operate imaging equipment: X-ray and Ultrasound
• Ensure the correct positioning of patients to obtain accurate and clear images.
2. Patient Preparation and Care:
• Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns or questions.
• Assist patients in positioning for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety.
3. Image Analysis and Quality Control:
• Review images to ensure they are of high quality and meet diagnostic standards.
• Identify any potential issues with image clarity and retake images if necessary.
4. Radiation Safety:
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, themselves, and other healthcare workers from excessive exposure.
• Use protective equipment and devices, such as lead aprons and shields.
5. Equipment Maintenance:
• Regularly inspect, calibrate, and maintain imaging equipment to ensure IT functions correctly.
• Report any malfunctions or issues with the equipment to the appropriate personnel.
6. Documentation and Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate patient records, including details of procedures performed and images obtained.
• Ensure proper documentation of patient history and any specific instructions from physicians.
- Candidate are required to have a minimum of Diploma in Radiography / Medical Imaging / Bachelor Degree in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy
