We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter Technician to join our team specializing in the yacht industry. As a Mechanical Fitter Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling, installing, and integrating mechanical systems and equipment aboard luxury yachts. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and other technicians to ensure that all mechanical installations meet high standards of quality, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical installations of various systems and equipment onboard luxury yachts, including HVAC systems, propulsion systems, hydraulic systems, plumbing, and other mechanical components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately assemble and install mechanical systems according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical installations with structural, electrical, and interior components of yachts.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of installed systems to verify functionality, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during installation, ensuring efficient problem-solving and minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including parts used, work completed, and any modifications made to mechanical systems.
  • Adhere to established procedures and protocols to ensure the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and environmental protection during installations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Installation Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Marine Technician, or similar role in the yacht or marine industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and components commonly used in yacht construction and maintenance.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills in assembling and installing complex mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to mechanical installations in the marine environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Certification or vocational training in mechanical installation, marine engineering, or a related field is preferred.
