Cashier

• To handle cash, credit, or check transactions with customers • To scan goods and collect payments • To ensure pricing is correct • To issue change, receipts, refunds, or tickets • To redeem stamps and coupons • To count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change • To make sales referrals, cross-sell products, and introduce new ones • To resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information • To greet customers when leaving the cashier counter. • To maintain clean and tidy checkout/ counter areas • To keep reports of transactions • To process returns and check to see if items are damaged
