Position Responsibilities

  • Participate in New Product Development, starting from A to Z (ideation to launch).
  • Create and enhance drinks menu that fill a niche in the competitive F&B market.
  • Responsible to develop new beverage based on market trend, sales data, operation effectiveness and customer demography.
  • Conduct idea generation sessions to initiate the creation of new beverage products that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Establish costing information for new and revised formulation.
  • Aid in preparation of food tasting sessions and constantly iterate rapidly.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and consumer research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities for new product development.
  • Gather, analyze, and maintain product, market, and technology trend information and come out with feasibility report to ensure products are always viable and competitive.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, partners, and external resources to support research and development initiatives.
  • Communicate constantly and build good rapport with vendors.
  • Perform testing on product stability, shelf-life evaluation and any other tests as per required.
  • Ensure all products are in compliance to Halal requirements, health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct investigations and propose solutions to address all product complaints or feedback.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of product SOP.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, procedures and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and intellectual property protection.
  • Responsible for other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior / management from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in F&B chain / retail or F&B product development (coffee-related industry will be an added advantage).
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute new method development.
  • Possess good sensory skills for product bench-marking and development.
  • Good interest and knowledge in ingredient formulation and development.
  • Computer literate - proficient with Microsoft Office & Excel, other relevant software and application.
  • Good command of written and spoken in Bahasa Malaysia and English (proficiency in other languages will be an added advantage).
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels, internally and externally, in an effective and responsive manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop new and improved products.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and documentation practices.
