- Assist in the preparation of preliminary cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Measure and value work done on-site, including the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs.
- Assist in the administration of contracts, including the preparation and processing of progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
- Support the tendering process by analyzing and comparing contractor and supplier quotations, and assisting in the preparation of tender documents.
- Maintain and update cost reports, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures against budgets.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, check measurements, and ensure that work is carried out according to the contract specifications.
- Identify and assess potential risks related to project costs, and report any issues to the Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Ensure that all relevant project documentation is organized and accessible, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant standards, codes, and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: A diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related role (internships or part-time work may be considered).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
- Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements related to the construction industry.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret financial information, and produce accurate reports.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in work, particularly in measurements and cost estimation.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
