Job Summary

The Head of Sales Management is responsible for driving the overall sales excellence and performance of the retail banking division. This role will oversee two key functions, the Retail Banking Academy and Business Planning & Finance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, propose and monitor Retail Banking targets to segment groups, teams and individual officers. These includes generation of scorecards for individual and team based on actual performance.
  • Analyse monthly performance scorecard and evaluate key financial and non-financial ratios, cost management and cost charge-out originating from/to own segment.
  • In charge of sales integration with product teams, marketing and operations
  • Prepare, facilitate and conduct business review with branches and sales departments.
  • Collaborate with branches and sales teams to set achievable sales targets and performance benchmarks.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for the sales force, covering product knowledge, certification exam preparation, soft skills, and systems training.
  • Design and deliver training materials and curricula that align with the Bank's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, develop, and manage a team of skilled trainers to deliver high-quality training programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Design and deliver sales coaching and mentoring program as part of the sales culture.
  • Manage and support retail banking strategic planning and budgeting process.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with branches and sales teams to assess progress against targets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze sales data and financial metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or any related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management or a similar role within the banking industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
