Job Purpose:

Support management and Business Unit (BU) Heads by analyzing financial results for KLGCC to enable informed and accurate business decisions.

Ensure the accuracy and compliance of company accounts with accounting standards to provide reliable financial data for decision-making.

Oversee taxation, budgeting, and other financial matters while maintaining a robust internal control system.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial statements.
  • Review monthly reconciliations and ensure the timely clearance of reconciling items and general accounting processes.
  • Focus on the performance of the F&B segment, including cost control and performance analysis.
  • Oversee the Asset Management system to ensure proper tracking and valuation of assets.

Taxation:

Manage the timely and accurate submission of corporate tax returns and indirect taxes (including GST/SST, e-invoicing, etc.).

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Review and manage the annual Budget Plan and forecasts, setting them as benchmarks for measuring current achievements to improve decision-making quality.

Audit:

Liaise with auditors and review statutory accounts to ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).

Feasibility Studies:

  • Review feasibility studies to ensure that KLGCC undertakes profitable projects and meets established targets.
  • Continuously monitor the overall financial feasibility of KLGCC projects against approved studies.
  • Oversee cash flow projections during annual budget preparation and ensure continuous monitoring and updates.
  • Address financial queries from other departments related to KLGCC.
  • Review pricing papers and other financial documents related to KLGCC.
  • Participate in meetings organized by KLGCC to provide financial input and updates on developments to enhance project feasibility.
  • Provide support on other financial and tax matters related to KLGCC.

Internal Control:

  • Ensure that financial transactions comply with Group policies and procedures, recommending improvements where necessary.
  • Assess system adequacy and business processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

People and Communication:

Coach and guide subordinates on all financial matters related to KLGCC.

Impact / Accountability:

  • Produce high-quality and accurate management financial reports within stipulated timelines.
  • Provide full cooperation and prompt responses to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be accountable for financial management within KLGCC and associated companies within Property Development Malaysia.
  • Be responsible for training and guiding subordinates to meet performance expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
