Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt raising, fundraising, and corporate finance. As the CFO, you will oversee the financial health of the organization, provide strategic financial direction, and drive key financial initiatives. You will manage a finance team of 25-30 members, work closely with banks and financial institutions, and collaborate with the Group CEO, Directors, and Board members on corporate exercises and long-term financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis to support business objectives and growth strategies. Collaborate with the CEO and Board to develop and implement strategic financial plans.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):

  • Drive M&A initiatives, including evaluating opportunities, conducting financial due diligence, negotiating deals, and integrating acquisitions to ensure successful outcomes.

Debt Raising & Fundraising:

  • Lead efforts in debt raising and capital structuring, including sourcing, negotiating, and securing funding from banks and financial institutions. Develop fundraising strategies to support business expansion and growth initiatives.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and compliance. Ensure financial controls, policies, and procedures are in place and adhered to.

Bank Relationships:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banking partners, financial institutions, and investors to support debt structuring and capital raising initiatives.

Board Reporting & Corporate Governance:

  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and alignment with corporate goals. Participate in corporate governance and key decision-making processes.

Corporate Exercises:

  • Provide financial leadership in corporate exercises, such as restructuring, refinancing, IPOs, or capital market activities, ensuring successful execution and alignment with corporate strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is highly desirable.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, including experience in M&A, debt raising, and fundraising.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a large finance team (15+ members).
  • Strong connections with banks and financial institutions, with a track record of successful debt and fundraising activities.
  • Exceptional financial acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working closely with a Board of Directors and senior leadership teams.
  • Exposure to corporate exercises such as restructuring, IPOs, or refinancing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
