Mechanic

• Motor vehicle mechanics and repairers IT, install, maintain, service and repair engines and the mechanical and related equipment of passenger cars, delivery trucks, motorcycles and other motor vehicles.
• Tasks include –
• (a) detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and parts;
• (b) fitting, examining, testing and servicing motor vehicle and motorcycle engines;
• (c) replacing engine components or complete engines;
• (d) fitting, examining, adjusting, dismantling, rebuilding and replacing defective parts of motor vehicles;
• (e) installing or adjusting motors and brakes, and adjusting steering or other parts of motor vehicles;
• (f) installing, adjusting, servicing and replacing mechatronics components of motor vehicles;
• (g) performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations;
• (h) reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.
• Using manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in the car.
• Explain the mechanical problem and the solution that needs to be made to the customer
• Planning work and testing procedures using charts, experience and other organized methods
• Testing parts and systems to ensure they are working properly
• Ensure all critical parts are checked and tested
• Perform basic automotive maintenance, including oil and tire changes
• Repairing or replacing worn out, old or damaged car parts
• Repair or modify the car according to the customer's specifications, if possible
• Advise if repairs are needed and how important the part is to be repaired
• Calculating estimated time and cost for repairs
• Repair and replace damaged parts
• Service and repair of aircond
• Other tasks that are directed from time to time

• Fresh graduate and SPM leavers are encourage to apply. (Skill Certificate or Diploma/SKM)
