Good Dough Sdn Bhd is a boutique pastry organization committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences. We are seeking a passionate and motivated pastry intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in the art of pastry-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Pastry Chefs: Work closely with experienced pastry chefs to learn and assist in the preparation of various pastry items such as cakes, pastries, bread, and desserts.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients by measuring, mixing, and weighing as per recipes and guidelines provided.
  • Baking and Cooking: Assist in baking and cooking pastry items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Participate in quality control procedures to ensure that all pastry products meet the highest standards of taste, appearance, and freshness.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, equipment, and tools to ensure a hygienic and safe working environment.
  • Menu Development Support: Contribute ideas and suggestions for new pastry items and assist in testing and refining recipes.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Customer Service: Occasionally interact with customers to provide information about pastry products and assist with inquiries.
  • Learning and Development: Actively participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance pastry-making skills and knowledge.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as food handling and sanitation standards.

Requirements:

  • Passion for pastry-making and a desire to pursue a career in the culinary arts.
  • Enrollment in or recent graduate of a culinary arts program, pastry arts program, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of pastry-making techniques and principles.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
