Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented trainee to support market research and business development efforts focused on centralised living quarters, particularly for workers’ accommodation across Malaysia. This role involves analysing market data, monitoring new industrial developments, identifying news and events relevant to centralised living quarters, and conducting cold calls and email campaigns targeting potential industrial clients. The trainee will also assist the Revenue Manager with administrative tasks and take on additional responsibilities in competitor analysis, compliance monitoring, and market segmentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research on centralised living quarters for workers’ accommodation across various regions of Malaysia.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse market data and trends related to industrial clients and new industrial developments in different states.
  • Competitor Analysis: Regularly monitor competitors’ activities, offerings, and strategies to provide insights that can enhance our positioning.
  • Industry News Monitoring: Track news, articles, and industry events relevant to the centralised living quarters market, ensuring the business is kept up to date on important developments.
  • Client Outreach: Identify potential industrial clients and perform outreach through cold calling and email blasting campaigns.
  • Client Engagement: Assist in maintaining communication with potential clients, following up on leads, and scheduling meetings.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor industry regulations, health and safety standards, and government policies related to centralised living quarters, ensuring compliance updates are communicated.
  • Networking & Events: Identify relevant industry events, webinars, and conferences, and assist in preparing materials for participation or networking.
  • Market Segmentation: Perform market segmentation based on client types, regions, or industries, providing targeted insights for the business development team.
  • Digital Presence Analysis: Monitor and analyse the company's online presence, providing recommendations for improving website content, social media strategy, or digital outreach.
  • Data Reporting: Compile and present monthly or quarterly reports summarizing research findings, potential client interactions, and market trends.
  • Client Feedback: Conduct client feedback surveys to gain insights into what industrial clients seek in centralised living quarters.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Revenue Manager with tasks such as report generation, data entry, and other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • No prior work experience required, but internships or project experience in research, marketing, or business development are a plus.
