Plant Manager (HDPE)

Production Management: • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that production targets, deadlines, and quality standards are met. • Ensure the plant operates efficiently and within budget. • Develop and implement production schedules and timelines. • Monitor raw material usage and inventory control to optimize costs. Management & Leadership: • Lead and manage plant personnel, including production supervisors, engineers, maintenance staff, and machine operators. • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement. • Train and mentor employees to enhance skills and performance. • Conduct regular performance evaluations and take corrective action when necessary. Quality Control & Compliance: • Ensure that the HDPE pipes produced meet industry standards and customer specifications. • Implement and oversee quality control procedures throughout the production process. • Stay up to date with industry regulations and ensure that the plant complies with all relevant safety, environmental, and operational guidelines. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: • Coordinate and oversee the maintenance of all plant machinery and equipment. • Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to avoid delays. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all employees adhere to safety standards and procedures. • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management and emissions control. • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Qualification • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field. Preferably from engineering background. • At least 7 years of working experience with minimum 3 years managerial role experience in the related field is required for this position. • Specific experience in HDPE pipe manufacturing or plastics extrusion is highly preferred. • Solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and equipment maintenance in HDPE pipe manufacturing. • Strong leadership and people management skills.
