We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Costing Executive to join our team at a leading aluminium manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or costing. This role is crucial for analyzing production costs, monitoring variances, and assisting in month-end closing activities. The successful candidate will work closely with other departments to ensure accurate costing, inventory control, and financial reporting. This position is based in Beranang, Selangor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze production costs and recommend changes to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Analyze monthly manufacturing variances and report findings.
  • Develop cost standards for materials and labor in line with company goals.
  • Design and implement cost accounting systems to enhance financial accuracy.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to product costing and inventory reconciliation.
  • Maintain timely updates of system product costs, ensuring compliance with the company’s costing policies.
  • Prepare operational reports, transfer pricing, and actual cost assessments.
  • Generate periodical reports on costing variances for both manufacturing and trading entities.
  • Monitor inventory movement and assist with daily raw material costing.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets related to manufacturing and trading costs.
  • Work closely with planning, engineering, and operations teams to resolve costing, inventory, and process cost studies.
  • Conduct research and cost analysis for various direct and indirect production overheads.
  • Collect production data to develop and update standard costs for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Costing, or related field.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in cost accounting systems and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes is an added advantage.
