Job Overview

Join ELS Language Centres, Malaysia, as an Academic Director and play a pivotal role in shaping the international student experience. This position involves overseeing all academic operations to ensure adherence to the ELS Language Centres Operations Manual and local policies. You will lead curriculum development, student assessment, and the management of instructional staff, while also stepping in to oversee the Language Centre in the absence of the Centre Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an academic program that aligns with ELS Language Centres’ standards.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise instructional staff, fostering their professional development.
  • Provide classroom instruction when necessary, ensuring a high-quality learning experience.
  • Manage the instructional budget and maintain an inventory of educational materials.
  • Oversee student placement, testing, and evaluation processes to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Schedule classes and orient new students to the academic program.
  • Compile and submit required academic reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Support retention initiatives aimed at enhancing student satisfaction and success.
  • Assist with managing special programs as required.
  • Ensure smooth Centre operations in the absence of the Centre Director.
