We are looking for an IoT Service Engineer (维修工程师) to work in our Johor Bahru office to setup and test our IT hardware and software solutions, and to provide Level 2 to Level 3 support to our clients.

Konbini Technologies (konbitech.com) builds and deploys AI-Self Checkout systems, Smart Lockers, Vending Machines & Cabinets for the Industrial, Institutional and Government sectors, comprising of IT devices, Smart Machines and cloud-based software.

We are a regional team specialising in software development, systems integration and machine development.

With offices in Singapore, Johor and Hanoi, we build solutions for multinational enterprises including: Ministry of Home Affairs,Parliament, Lenovo, Unilever, Compass Group, ISS, Sodexo, amongst others.

As IT Support Engineer, you will play an important role in deploying our solutions onsite, ensuring our machines are well maintained, client complaints are addressed and onsite repairs are performed properly.

You will coordinate with our software and technical team to ensure the hardware for our solutions are set up and working well and our in-house built apps and software are tested and validated.

Job Scope:

DEPLOYMENT & MAINTENANCE

- Install and configure hardware and software for new projects (e.g. Android POS systems, Payment terminals, Barcode scanners, RFID readers, thermal printers, power supplies and data cables)

- Assist in periodical preventive and corrective maintenance, spare part control.

LEVEL 2 & 3 CLIENT SUPPORT

- Provide remote support to end users, troubleshooting and technical support via Whatsapp, video call, email and timely documentation & tracking of all requests and outstanding issues

- Coordinate system deployments / upgrades with the appropriate internal teams and suppliers.

TESTING & TROUBLESHOOTING

- Testing of Android apps and Cloud software developed by our programmers

- Identifying software bugs and escalating bugs to our developers to resolve and update.

- Identifying hardware, diagnosing, repairing basic IT device problems

- Provide technical support to other teams with resolution as and when needed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Eletronics or Information Technology related fields a must.

- Strong & deep interest and passion in hardware and software systems a must (we love hardware!)

- Hands-on experience with setup and configuration of different types of computer hardware & IT Devices

- Experience in handling Cloud computing/SaaS systems

- Experience in technical support

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to handle clients professionally when providing support.

- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

- Strong attention to detail
