Job Description

  • Collaborate with internal Risk teams to identify existing gaps in current Risk processes due to lack of digitalization and create appropriate solutions to digitalize Risk processes by means of advanced technology (e.g., RPA, Python, SAS)
  • Support fraud analytics project in multiple ecosystem across a big variety of large datasets, understand fraud/ risk elements and pattern, and design corresponding analytical solution using Python, Spark, Hive programming.
  • Develop a fraud risk management protocol, fraud database design and maintenance
  • Use of analytical and visualization software to access, transform, integrate, analyze and visualize data to help solve real problems and provide real business insights through identification of anomalies and unusual patterns and trends in data
  • Support innovation projects and use programming tools/ robotics software to automate manual tasks for efficiency and cost savings.
  • To support the risk digitalization projects (e.g., FRAS, e-KYC). Responsible to be involved in all aspects of the risk digitalization projects (i.e. Initiation, Planning, Execution, Performance & Control and etc.) by applying SCRUM methodology which includes Agile approach.
  • Develop functional architecture and model (e.g. server, application, API and etc.) to support on the objective of digitalization project. Identify and solve complex problems using all available methods and resources.
  • Collaborate, brainstorm and workshop new technologies, industry trends and how to improve current development processes.
  • To support the strategies in identifying fraudulent trends and improving fraud prevention.
  • Support all fraud risk management initiatives within Etiqa by collaborating and providing support to external teams/fraud initiatives (e.g., knowledge sharing, technical support) as well as driving the Fraud Risk Analytics System (“FRAS”) project.
  • Identify gaps within existing fraud risk management systems and processes, as well as addressing these gaps by creating appropriate solutions/enhancements
  • Ensure appropriate controls and monitoring tools are built in place to identify fraudulent trends and allow quick call to action.
  • To ensure Board of Directors and Senior Management Committee have adequate oversight of the fraud risk management profile to ensure proper measures are put in place to manage fraud risk in Etiqa. To assess and evaluate the fraud risk in Etiqa, and to periodically share findings and fraud risk management related reports to the management.
  • Transformation of risk processes. To identify gaps within risk processes arising due to lack of digitalization and inefficient process flows. To support Risk Management teams by digitalizing existing risk processes using appropriate technologies (e.g. Python, VBA, OAS, RPA)
  • To provide support to the internal Risk teams in transitioning towards a digitalized workforce via knowledge transfer and guidance.
  • To ensure Board of Directors and Senior Management Committee have adequate oversight of the model risk management profile to ensure proper measured is put in place in managing the risk to the organization, its employees, customers, reputation, assets and interests of stakeholders (shareholders, regulators). To ensure consistency of Model Risk Management policies, methodologies and process within the Company. Review and assess Model risk framework, guidelines, programs, process for the organization

Job Requirement

  • Candidate must possess or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or recognized professional qualifications or recognized professional qualifications in Computer Science/Information Technology, Science & Technology, business management, actuarial science, statistics, finance, risk, mathematics and/or other related financial disciplines.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in related discipline/field in Insurance/Takaful Industry and any financial institutions
  • Good communication and analytical skill.
  • Knowledge of Python, MongoDB, Node.JS, Flutter or Angular framework is a definite advantage.
