Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Purpose:

Oversee & execute the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems within large-scale projects support Engineering & Construction work.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Deliver Electrical & Instrumentation design engineering work efficiently and in a timely manner during proposal and project delivery stage.
2. Develop engineering design work based on requirements and to coordinate with other departments on the design work.
3. Participate in Design Reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, SIL classification & implementation studies
4. Project management - Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure electrical work is completed within agreed timelines and costs.
5. To provide data sheet to Procurement in preparation of bid tabulation and conduct evaluation on vendors’ quotation.
6. Work closely with project managers and other, civil engineers, and other team members to ensure electrical systems integrate seamlessly into the overall project.

Job Requirements:

1. Degree in Electrical Engineering
2. Registered as Electrical Engineer with BEM
3. 5 years of relevant experience as in Electrical design
4. Registered Professional Engineer, chartered Engineer, professional license/certificate is an added advantage
5. Experience in E & I design, Single Line Diagram, Control and Schematic Diagram; Load, Motor Control, Cable Schedule, Cable routing, Power and Control, Area Classification, grounding drawings; Electrical power distribution & systems calculation
6. Technically sound in International Codes & Standards in relation to Electrical Design
7. Auto-Cad
8. Oil and gas offshore/onshore facilities relating to electrical design and layout
9. Has involved in Instrument(s) installation or commissioning experience
