Key Responsibilities: Machinery Operation: -Operate various cutting machines, including band saws and circular saws, to cut timber to specified dimensions. -Set up and calibrate equipment for optimal performance. Quality Control: -Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards. -Perform routine checks and adjustments to maintain cutting accuracy. Maintenance: -Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of cutting equipment to ensure efficient operation. -Report any mechanical issues to supervisors and assist with repairs as needed. Process Optimization: -Identify and implement improvements in cutting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. -Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows. Safety Compliance: -Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the workplace. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and promote a safe working environment. Documentation: -Maintain accurate records of production outputs, equipment maintenance, and quality inspections. -Prepare reports on cutting operations and material usage.
