A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- Schedule and coordinate truck dispatches, ensuring timely pickup and delivery of goods
- Optimize routes and load planning to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs
- Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of truck movements, deliveries, and inventory levels
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and delivery receipts
- Serve as a point of contact for internal teams, external vendors, and customers regarding trucking logistics
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure seamless loading and unloading of trucks
- Communicate delivery schedules and updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
- Maintain and update databases and spreadsheets related to truck operations and logistics
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements related to trucking operations
KPI :
- On-time Truck Arrival : Target 90% - Ensure all deployed trucks arrive on time at merchant and fcz
- Truck Arrangement as per request: Target 95% - Trucks need to be deployed according to request
- Truck Capacity Utilization: Target 85% - Plan and execution of truck capacity based on load and maximize the truck capacity
