Job Scope / Position Summary
- To ensure prompt processing of claims and reserves are being updated accordingly.
- To regularly review the performance of the adjusters and solicitors and report the same to the Unit Head/HOD.
- To assess/confirm of damage parts pricing on the claims which submitted by adjusters/repairers.
- To issued letter to Insured - request documentation, provide claim status.
- To receive documents and provide guidance and advise to walk-in customers & customers who call-in.
- To verify, assess and approve promptly all claims within authority if you are granted for claims authority & to process, recommend and submit to Unit Head /HOD for approval
- To respond to Email or Phone calls received on claims enquiry & status update to Customers, Branches, Marketers and Intermediaries.
- To refer immediately and complaints received from Customers, Branches, BNM, OFS and Intermediaries to Unit Head/ HOD so that these are promptly and effectively monitored and resolved within the time frame.
- To ensure all claims suspected having fraud elements or in violation of policy conditions are brought to attention of Unit Head/HOD/CINSO.
- To review outstanding claims files, ensure reserves are being updated and follow up on outstanding files.
- To ensure all recoveries are actively pursued.
- To monitor, review and update the files at least once a year.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualification and Experience Requirement
- Possess a recognised diploma / degree in Insurance, Engineering, Legal, Accounting, Finance, Business Study or professional qualification in insurance (AMII, ACII, AAII, DMII etc).
- Relevant working experience in insurance claims
- Ability to adapt and learn fast, diligent, trustworthy and have strong initiative to learn.
- Result oriented, committed, team player, positive working attitude, good communication and interpersonal skill
- Ability to multi-task, plan effectively and meet deadlines.
- Potential to take up senior management roles in the future
- Ability and interest to lead and develop junior team members
