Position Overview:
We are seeking for a dynamic and analytical FP&A Analyst to join our Client's finance team. This role requires a self-motivated individual with 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the retail sector. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for providing financial insights, forecasting, budgeting, and supporting decision-making processes to drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning: Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis, profitability reports, and business performance metrics.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with key stakeholders across departments (sales, marketing, operations) to provide financial insights and recommendations that support business decisions.
- Forecasting: Develop and implement rolling forecasts, ensuring accuracy and identifying potential risks or opportunities.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and management of annual budgets, providing guidance to department heads on financial goals and constraints.
- Retail Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of retail performance, including sales, margins, and inventory levels, to improve profitability.
- Cost Control: Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to manage costs effectively.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Support various financial initiatives, including process improvements, financial system enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
- Knowledge of retail KPIs (sales performance, inventory turnover, margins) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of retail financial drivers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
