Production & Materials Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production & Materials Control Manager to oversee the end-to-end production planning and materials management processes in our semiconductor manufacturing facility. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that production schedules align with customer demands, materials are prepared and available, and production runs efficiently to meet shipment targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing, with demonstrated skills in production control, materials coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Scheduling

• Oversee production planning activities, including material preparation, coordination, and scheduling to maximize output and fulfillment of customer shipment requirements.
• Develop and adjust production schedules based on customer orders, market demand, and logistics considerations.

Material Coordination:

• Collaborate with material planning specialists to ensure all necessary production materials are available and ready.
• Optimize material preparation processes, ensuring the timely flow of materials into production lines.

Capacity Coordination:

• Coordinate with production, equipment, and testing departments to adjust and optimize factory production capacity.
• Monitor factory output and make real-time adjustments to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure the smooth execution of production plans.
• Drive relevant departments to promptly resolve production issues, including material shortages, quality concerns, or capacity constraints.

Customer Fulfillment:

• Ensure that production schedules are aligned with customer requirements, meeting shipment deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain communication with key stakeholders to keep them informed of production status, shipment schedules, and any adjustments.

Process Improvement & Problem Solving:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes, optimize materials handling, and enhance overall production efficiency.
• Drive problem-solving efforts to address production and materials-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Associate degree or higher in a relevant field, with over 5 years of experience in production control or materials management, ideally within the electronics or semiconductor industry.
• Prior experience in large enterprises is preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for production and materials planning.
• Strong understanding of production workflows, materials management, and inventory optimization.

Communication & Organizational Skills:

• Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, with a high level of attention to detail.

Work Style:

• A diligent and responsible individual, capable of working independently and leading cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English is an advantage, with strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
